The formation of the original volunteer fire department in Milford dates back to 1888.  In 1980 the present MCFD was established as a private fire company contracted by the city of Milford.

Station built in 1984.

01/25 - Milford placed into service a Ford / Medwerks ambulance with Medic 71.  It is a remount of the 2014 Braun box that was previously with Medic 71.

05/21 - Milford received a new International / Horton ambulance for Medic 72. It is a remount of the 2012 Braun box that was previously with Medic 72.
